About Redsun Labyrinth
Located in a serene grassland meadow with views of the spectacular Bitterroot Mountain Range. The labyrinth is 108' in diameter which makes it one of the largest in the United States. The total walk in and out is 4/5 of a mile. Approximately 25 tons of fieldstones were used to make the pattern.
The berm around the labyrinth is 120' in diameter, 3' high and topped with cottonwood logs. Some 200 lavender plants encircle the inside of the base.
The original 800 year-old pattern for this eleven circuit labyrinth is in Chartres Cathedral in France. The Cathedral celebrated its 1000 year anniversary in 2001. This pattern is also in the Grace Cathedral in San Francisco.

About Labyrinths

By walking a replica of the Chartres labyrinth, laid in the floor of Chartres Cathedral around 1220, walkers can rediscover a long-forgotten mystical tradition that is insisting to be reborn.
The labyrinth was designed by an intelligence we cannot fully understand, truly a tool for transformation. It is a crucible for change, a blueprint for the sacred meeting of the psyche and soul, a field of light, a cosmic dance. It is a center for empowering ritual.
The universal path of the labyrinth is what differentiates it and sets it apart as a spiritual tool. This labyrinth does not engage our thinking minds. It invites our intuitive, pattern-seeking, symbolic mind to come forth. It presents us with only one, but profound, choice.

This ancient sacred tool is used as a walking meditation. There is no right or wrong way to walk a labyrinth. Do what feels natural for you.

Consider everything that happens on your walk as a metaphor for your life.

Bring a stone to leave within the pattern to commemorate your walk. Any other objects left within the labyrinth will be respectfully removed.
